MIT-Toyota collaboration powers driver assistance in millions of vehicles

Professor Yossi Sheffi leads MIT’s efforts to bridge deep analytics, systems thinking, and real-world mobility. Under his direction, the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics’ Advanced Vehicle Technology Consortium has powered a decade-long collaboration with Toyota, generating naturalistic driving data and human–machine interaction insights that underpin driver-assistance features now deployed in millions of vehicles worldwide.
